I’m starting to get REALLY excited about our next big adventure! Staci & I spent a weekend picking out places to stay, choosing the sites we want to see, and booking excursions. But, we have made some changes…

Staci & I will be passengers on rented bikes, similar to what we did in Ecuador. Renting and riding 2 up gives us additional funds to put towards adventures & places to stay. We abandoned our idea of camping on this trip. I don’t think it’s possible for us to pack camping gear and supplies for 2 of us on a single bike so we searched airbnb and VRBO for our digs in Iceland, & some of them are pretty cool!

This trip feels a lot more like our Alaska trek than Ecuador. I definitely liked the convenience & security of having Freedom plan our whole trip, including hotels. But, this trip gives us the flexibility to visit places that are off the beaten path & aren’t considered top tourist destinations, but some of them look pretty cool!

I’m using Google Maps to plot our trip for the first time. It’s working pretty well. I entered every stop, added our rental houses, and then created a route for each day.
